Personalized Lamps – 35mm negative hack

If you’re on this site, you likely have a bunch of negatives tucked away in envelopes and boxes concealing fond memories and artsy experiments. Let’s shed some light on those old negs by making a personalized lamp. This quick project also finally finds a creative use for those negatives, one that is cool and can be a functional conversational piece.

Starting with a $7 Ikea lamp (Ikea Grono lamp pictured), a little decoupage glue and carefully place strips of negatives and you have a designer mood light. Full instructions for making this lamp can be found on Poopscape (cool name!).
