An inexpensive color negative film that has good exposure latitude, strong contrast, and rich color.  Its 400iso makes it very versatile and the grain is noticeable but pleasant looking.  It’s a great film for point-n-shoots and everyday shooting.

High hopes, low detail

I bought a couple 3-packs of this in 120 because I wanted something similar to Ultramax to shoot in some medium format cameras. I was pretty disappointed. I’ve had reds and blues both get overblown and lack detail. Shadows are too red. Lighter skin tones are too yellow. I love to experiment with different films, but I won’t be coming back to this one.Show more

Warmer tones and a feeling of nostalgia

This is my favorite film stock to shoot and it’s larger grain paired with its color grading give photos a nostalgic framing. I think it also gives a vibrant but natural look to greens and nature shots if that’s what you’re into. Night shots with flash turn out wonderful as the saturation packs a punch and leaves wonderful contrast with the darker parts of photos too!Show more

I am absolutely in love with this film. The colors really pop when the sun is shining. Lomo 400 will have your back in a variety of scenarios.
