Wonderful film for a rainy photo walk

Rated 5 out of 5
April 25, 2023

“Classic black and white film stock” was all I needed to read to give BWXX a try, and I was so happy I had it in my camera for an unexpectedly rainy photowalk. The contrast was perfect, but what really sold me was the detail in the grays and character of the grain. When I saw my scans from The Darkroom, I immediately ordered two more roles and can’t wait to play more.

Super gritty classic film

Great film, especially in full sun with hard highlights like car chrome or polished paint. A little expensive, especially compared to FP4+ Wich is very similar. Great classic cinematic look & old school B&W grit. Spectacular film if you can justify the cost. It’s also great in Df96 monobath for easy processing & scans well too.
