Favorite black and white film
I shot this film with my point and shoot and got great results. The pictures had some contrast and was very tonerich. I wish i shot this with a slr so i could’ve adjusted the exposure, since the film is 100 ISO. I am still very happy with the pictures that weren’;t underexposed.
Sharp with low contrast
I think Acros II is very well suited to landscape photography and portraiture. The film is sharp and shows very pleasing but minimal contrast. I haven’t tried shooting it at a wedding, but it is definitely the film I would pick if I had to shoot b/w at an outdoor wedding. I meter Acros 100 v2 at 100 and develop as per massivedevchart’s recommendations and the film hasn’t let me down yet! If you’re in the mood to shoot some soft contrast but sharply detailed portraits of people outdoors, I think this is the film to buy!
My favorite film
This film is my favorite B&W film. Especially pushed 2 stops. Great contrast, low grain, great tonal range, and the reciprocity is the best of any film out there. This is not a film to pull unless you want flat negatives. Maybe if you are darkroom printing you will want the flat negs and add contrast in the darkroom.
