“Patriotic/4th of July” photo contest winner announced

The Darkroom’s June “Patriotic” themed contest is now complete and you can see all the submission on our Facebook gallery. Thanks to all who participated and congratulations to Justin Thiele for his photo. See his photo below and our Honorable Mention picks. We can only pick one winner, but we had a lot of great photos, so we wanted to recognize some of the notable images that didn’t win.
- Graziella Ines – Vietnam Memorial doubled with the Lincoln Memorial Washington D.C. Yashica-A TLR and Fuji Provia 100 crossed
- Nick Reed – This was taken at Arlington National Cemetery. The location is section 60, which is predominately made up of deceased from the War on Terror in Iraq and Afghanistan. This tombstone has been decorated by the soldier’s relatives. I took this photo using a Nikon 8008. I used Fujifilm with ISO 400 for this shot.

- Alexia Lombard – Taken with a Nikon F5 on Kodak Gold 400 …Just another regular day at the dry lake by Nelson’s Landing.
